Hi Mert,

The execution is great and I love your color choice and textures. You're getting some competition between the big planet and the "icy explosion". My eye keeps jumping back and forth between the two and can't seem to relax on one. Try toning down one of the two elements to make the other stick out more. It will make this piece even more pleasing.

Nice to see some improvisation after following his tutorials! The depth, texture and atmosphere of the piece is quite nice, that use of misty-fog like texturing in front of the planets is certainly reminiscent of some of Greg's works, and something that really brings out the depth. This is quite a strong piece, so I'll just suggest you improve the overall image quality - that is, it seems a little blurred in spots here and there were it seems that there should be more detail, example; the smaller planet. Its texture is blurred and seems to be low resolution. If you work at everything with a high resolution and then downsize it, I'm sure this will look even better (not sure if you did or not, but the small planet seems to tell me you didn't).

Keep up the good work.

Oh yeah - the largest planets texture reminds me a bit of the texture accompanying Greg Martin's planet tutorial (and evidently also seems low resolution), can't be sure whether it is or not, but seems quite similar.

Thanks for your comment Kyle I worked at 1024x768 resolution then downsized and croped it. I think I should work with higher resolution than that. Maybe a bit sharpening could be better before downsizing it (It increases overall image quality). And yeah I used Greg Martin's planet texture

Mert, this is really awesome! I have said it before, but this is really a beautiful painting. The depth, the colors and the composition are very well depicted. The piece itself leaves me thinking how really small our planet is amidst the gigantic proportions of the universe...
